Worm Farm

today WALT make a worm farm :so you have to do is get so much paper and get some cardboard and rip them up in to little paper and then you do it the same to the cardboard and when your done put some water in it and put some of the food that you do not want to eat  ok.

What to feed worms in a worm bin

When you feed worms always try to add equal portions of greens and browns!

Greens: Vegetable and fruit scraps, bread, pasta, coffee grounds and filters,

teabags, dead plant matter from house plants

.Browns: Paper, junk mail, paper egg cartons, cardboard, dry leaves

Earthworms will feed on dead grass and leaves if they are above the surface of the ground. Worms will also feed on fruits, berries and vegetables. However, if they are below ground, they may also feed on algae, fungi and bacteria.

Compost worms benefit from a balanced diet. They will eat most normal kitchen fruit and vegetable scraps. Avoid feeding the worms large quantities of meat, citrus, onions and dairy foods. Some processed food also contains preservatives, which discourage the worms from eating it.
